Playstation 4 To Arrive in 2011/2012?

Speaking at the Games Developers Conference in Leipzig this week, Crytek president and CEO, Cevat Yerli speculated that we could expect to see The Playstation 4 release around 2011/2012.

“The PlayStation 4 and Xbox ‘720′ will arrive in 2011 or 2012, we think,” said Yerli. “But this is just our estimate – we don’t know, and even if Microsoft and Sony told us, I couldn’t say because it would be under NDA.

“But we think in three to four years’ time, although there are good reasons why it should be 2010 already…but we’ll see.”

  1. I hope it is in 2010. Oh if PS4 bon’t have Blue-ray it wont play PS3 games then. that would be bad.

  2. damngive the ps3 a chance to settle its foundation first…people havent been able to afford the ps3 yet and still going through transactions of the not yet dead ps2

  3. if they are going to make a ps4 they should make come out like 2012 cause some people dont have a ps3 yet by the way i heard something about a prototype of a ps4? any comments about that??????

  4. What else is the PS4 going to use for CDs? It’s not going to go back to DVDs…. I’d expect it to use dual layered 250GB Bluray discs. There’s no reason to use anything less when they’re already working on 250GB bluray discs.

  5. it would be a dumb marketing scheme to come out with the ps4 since they just came out with the ps3 slim. they are going to milk the ps3 for awhile. and we havent had any big technical breakthroughs that would make the ps4 superior to the ps3. there wont be a ps4 probably until they make a new type of high(er) definition since blu ray is top of the line and ps3 has that. nothing else is out for ps4 to have.

  6. it would be the dumbest idea to make a ps4 because it has every thing from wireless controllers to blu ray so what else could they come up with a builty in chef or something and where did you see the prototype McDonalds and yes you sound like a dick i saw a prototype of that it was about 2 inches so theres your commend ass hole
